EOSC Code of Conduct - Coaches/Volunteers
I WILL, always, and at all times:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the sport; teach players the rules of the game and assist players to develop their skills.
- Be the primary soccer role model, and conduct myself in a positive manner.
- Lead by example, demonstrating fair play and good sportsmanship.
- Show respect for players, coaches, parents, spectators, adult and youth officials and treat everyone with dignity.
- Motivate my players to give their best effort.
I WILL NOT:
- Place the value of winning before the safety, welfare, and well being of all players.
- Act in a manner that undermines or jeopardizes the spirit of good sportsmanship nor use abusive or insulting language.
- Use profanity, make profane gestures, argue nor incite disruptive behavior by players, parents and/or spectators.
- Knowingly jeopardize the future eligibility of a player to participate in the sport.
- Tolerate inappropriate behavior, regardless of the situation.
- Allow the use of anabolic agents or stimulants, drugs, tobacco or alcohol by any of my players.
- Possess, consume or distribute alcohol, illegal drugs or unauthorized prescription drugs at, before or during any game.
