Soccer isn’t just a pastime for the East Orange Soccer Knights, it’s a passion!  Showing improvement with each game, this Under 13 Region Cup Boys Premier Team has had a year of great accomplishments.  Recently they achieved one of Florida’s highest honors, competing in the state championship – The Florida Youth Soccer Association President’s Cup Tournament -- where they placed fourth in the state.

 

During the first half of the season, the EOS Knights competed in a combined U13/U14 age group.  By playing against bigger and faster teams, the Knights gained valuable skills and training, resulting in top achievements in five tournaments.

 

The team advanced to the Semi-finals at the Melbourne Holiday Challenge in November, the Finals at the Cocoa Expo tournament in February, and advanced to the Region Cup final tournament in March.  Based on their strong performances, the Knights were invited to represent their region (one of four in all of Florida) at the state championship in Pensacola: the 2007 President’s Cup Tournament.  The Knights finished 4^th overall in the U13 boys age group in all of Florida Youth Soccer Association region cup premier level play!!     

 

Recently they have been accepted to participate in the 2007 Disney Memorial Day Tournament.   Currently, in the second half of the season, they are successfully competing against teams in their same age bracket and they have high expectations for a great winning record in league play.
